Jambalaya
Ingredients:

1 Cup Chicken, Cooked/Chopped
- 1
Cup Andouille Sausage or Smoked Sausage or Ham, Chopped
- 1
8 oz. can Tomato Sauce
- 3
Cups Water (or use chicken broth)
- 1
Cup Uncooked long grain rice
- 1
Tablespoon Instant Minced Onion - or 1/2 fresh onion
chopped
- 1
Tablespoon Green Pepper Flakes or 1 bell pepper
chopped
- 1
Tablespoon Parsley Flakes
- 1
Whole Bay leaf
- 2
Teaspoons beef bouillon granules
- 1/2
Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2
Teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1/4
Teaspoon Dried Thyme
- 1/4
Teaspoon Dried Crushed Red Pepper
Cook
and de-bone chicken (or used canned chicken). Combine all ingredients
and bring to a boil in a heavy pot or dutch oven, or slow cooker.
Cover,
reduce heat and simmer 20 to 25 minutes or until rice is tender.
Remove and discard bay leaf.
